Prominent city officials have touted the potential for urban renewal, particularly on the South and West sides of the city if Chicago does in fact win it's 2016 Olympic bid.

Jamil Satchu has advised the planning committees for large-scale sports events around the world, including the 2002 World Cup, the 2006 Winter Olympics and the 2010 World Cup.
He talks about the importance of planning a social legacy for mega-events.
