Dream When You're Feeling Blue

SHARE Dream When You're Feeling Blue

Bestselling novelist Elizabeth Berg turns back the clock to World War II in her latest book.

It's called Dream When You're Feeling Blue.

It chronicles the story of Kitty, Louise and Tish Heaney.

They're three sisters coming of age in a large Irish Catholic household in Chicago.

They long for love and romance -- and fear for the safety of the boys and boyfriends fighting on the front lines of World War Two.

Berg says a growing interest in the lives of the greatest generation sparked her idea for this book.

But she says instead of epic battles or war time heroics, she wanted to explore the emotional and everyday details of life on the home-front...
