For the past 18 years, the famed Indian mango has been unavailable in America because of a trade ban. 

Until now. 

Last month the ban was lifted and Indian stores everywhere began stocking up on the seasonal fruit, which many consider one of the juiciest varieties in the world. 

But they're a bit pricey: they cost about 30 dollars a dozen, compared to six dollars for a dozen Mexican mangoes.

We wanted to see what all the fuss was about, so Eight Forty-Eight went down to the Patel Brothers grocery store, on Chicago's Devon Ave.
