So some folks now have to drive further to grab that latte. Of course, with gas prices through the roof, plenty of people will probably just do without. It's one of the little cutbacks people make in a tough economy. Thrift, or frugality, is supposed to be a virtue in good times as well as bad. But many of us give it little thought until pushed by circumstances. Al Gini has been turning this one over in his head. He is Eight Forty-Eight's resident philosopher, and he's with us now to consider the merits of frugality.
