Chicago Mayor Richard M. Daley is off to China today for a tour of Beijing as that city prepares for Friday's start of the Summer Olympics. That's because Chicago is hoping to snag the honor of hosting the Games in 2016. But that gig is not the only Olympic glory our town's going for these days.

Oak-Brook-based McDonald's is one of the major sponsors of the Beijing Games. And there may be business gold for other Chicago organizations that manage to associate themselves with the Olympics as long as they can avoid backlash over human rights and environmental concerns.
