The economy has come up once or twice during Chicago Public Radio's road trip to nearby swing states. Reporters Ben Calhoun and Robert Wildeboer hit the road ten days ago—and have traveled to Wisconsin, Iowa, Missouri and Indiana. Their latest stop, Michigan, was actually just removed from many lists of competitive states last week. John McCain said his campaign was leaving the state essentially conceding Michigan to Barack Obama. Chicago Public Radio's Ben Calhoun has spent a couple days following up on McCain's high-profile retreat, and joins us now, by phone, to talk about what he found.
