For months, officials and pundits have said they're expecting high voter turnout on Election Day — now just a week away. With early and absentee voting now underway, officials say those projections are already coming true. All of that raises questions about whether the people who run the polls are ready for record numbers. Chicago Public Radio's Ben Calhoun has spent the last few days speaking with elections officials all around the region, and he joins us now to discuss what he's hearing.
