SHARE Sit-In Captures Labor Movement’s Imagination

It's the fifth day of a factory sit-in at a Chicago window company. About 200 laid-off employees of Republic Windows and Doors have taken turns occupying the plant since Friday. The company abruptly shut down last week after Bank of America cut off credit. Labor activists and some politicians are citing the conflict as evidence that the nation's financial bailout hasn't helped working people. Chicago Public Radio's Chip Mitchell was the only reporter in the factory when the workers voted to occupy it Friday morning. He joins us from our bureau on Chicago's Northwest Side.
