Join WBEZ for a day full of live music, local food, arts & crafts, retail vendors and more for Wicker Park Fest on Sunday, July 28 at Milwaukee and Paulina.

This year WBEZ celebrates 40 years of house music with some of Chicago’s best DJs. House music, which originated in Chicago’s Black queer community in the 70’s, was created by underground DJs and music producers, expanding internationally and influencing works by major artists like Madonna and Whitney Houston.

Wicker Park Fest, celebrating its 20th year anniversary, is a 3-day festival that celebrates the dynamic music, art and food scenes in the Wicker Park neighborhood. What’s more, it’s entirely free of cost! This year’s lineup includes headliners Superdrag, Jamila Woods, Felice Brothers, Drug Church, La Luz and more!

Sunday features DJ Chip E., one of the founders of house music and producer of pioneer Frankie Knuckles’ first house track; a special tribute to house DJ and producer Paul Johnson from longtime underground artist Microdot and more. See the full lineup below.

No refunds.
