Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum 2430 N. Cannon Dr. 60614 Chicago , IL

Gather at the Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum for an evening of conversation and exploration, revealing challenges faced by Lake Michigan and opportunities to take action in support of this important natural resource.

For the first part of the evening, we will feature scientists and teachers from Illinois-Indiana Sea Grant and the Center for Great Lakes Literacy.  They will share their research and stewardship opportunities in a fair-type setting, offering you one-on-one conversations with people who are working every day to maintain the health of Lake Michigan.

Then, hear from a distinguished panel of experts from the Alliance for the Great Lakes, the Field Museum, and Shedd Aquarium.

Finally, reflect on what you’ve learned with your fellow participants and identify your own next steps to preserve our Great Lakes.

Refreshments will be provided at no cost and the Museum will be open for exploration, including the photography exhibit, Surface Tension, highlighting the beauty and fragility of Lake Michigan.
