Event description

Join WBEZ and the University Club of Chicago on May 10 at the historic Auditorium Theatre as we celebrate the debut novel by legendary award-winning actor and best-selling author Tom Hanks.

The Making of Another Major Motion Picture Masterpiece explores the making of a star-studded multimillion-dollar superhero action film … and the humble comic books that inspired it. It’s funny, touching, and wonderfully thought-provoking, while also capturing the changes in America and American culture since World War II. Tom Hanks will be joined by Peter Sagal, host of NPR’s Wait Wait… Don’t Tell Me, for a conversation that you won’t want to miss.

Tickets to this event include a signed copy of The Making of Another Major Motion Picture Masterpiece. This program is presented in partnership with The Book Stall.
