Join us for a night of storytelling that presents compelling personal stories and killer beats with real drama to produce cinematic, dramatic and kick-ass radio. In other words - “Storytelling…With a Beat.”
Hosted by Glynn Washington, Snap Judgment combines raw storytelling, touching and serious social issues and content, edgy talent, and music to create powerful performances that electrify how we explore real life drama, and our humanity. The live show includes several live storytellers, live music, and in-depth discussions about provocative issues.
Glynn Washington, Host
Before creating Snap Judgment, Glynn worked as an educator, diplomat, community activist, actor, political strategist, fist-shaker, mountain-hollerer, and foot stomper. Washington has composed music for the Kunst Stoff dance performances in San Francisco, joined a band in Indonesia, written several screenplays and released a blues album.
Jen Kober, Storyteller
Jen Kober is originally from Lake Charles, LA, and has energetically bounded onto the national stage bringing crowds to their feet with her original blend of stand-up, storytelling, and improvised rock-n-roll comedy. Jen was the 2016 Winner of WNYC's Snap Judgement Comedic Performance of the Year for her Girl Scout Cookie story, which went viral upon its release earlier that year.
Ray Christian, Storyteller
Raymond (Ray) Christian grew up in poverty in the city of Richmond, VA during the 1960s and 70s. He joined the Army at 17, serving as an Infantryman and Paratrooper. A combat veteran who earned the Bronze Star among many other decorations, he retired after 20 years at age 38. He is a legendary storyteller, part time farmer, Doctor of Education, and host of his own podcast What’s Rays Saying.
Don Reed, Storyteller
Don Reed (Tonight Show, Pop Up Magazine) is a comedian, producer, writer - who recently starred in multiple episodes of an upcoming series with Lin Manuel Miranda of Hamilton. Known for his award winning solo shows, he has a pivotal role in the recently released feature film, Unleashed.

Bells Atlas emerges from the vibrant cultural and musical backdrop of Oakland, CA. Combining heavy rhythm, soulful vocal harmonies and a healthy dose of wildcard energy, this dynamic group has arrived at an interwoven blend of sound that is undoubtedly their own. They capture the spirit of eclectic influences - soul, West African & Brazilian rhythm, noise pop, psychedelia - and draw a wide audience with diverse tastes.
