Needless to say, things at Cook County Board President Todd Stroger’s campaign event last night were pretty glum. But during his concession speech, a Stroger supporter shouted out a suggestion that Stroger should seek out another public office. Here’s the audio: stroger blog Stroger didn’t elaborate on the idea of running for mayor any more than what he said in his speech. Afterwards, he and his staff pushed through the crowd and media pretty quickly to get out of there. As for his supporters, many Stroger loyalists expressed anger with the media for the election loss. Lillie Yarber was one of his supporters at his campaign event. In talking about what the Stroger name means to Chicago politics, she said Todd Stroger has received more criticism than other current officeholders who are the sons of former politicians. lillie blog
