IRA Gift

Individuals who are 70 ½ or older may make a charitable gift transferred directly from your Individual Retirement Account (IRA) to WBEZ. This contribution will not be taxed and will qualify toward your required minimum distribution. Simply provide your administrator the following information:

• Make Check Payable to WBEZ and include a note with the donor’s name
• Federal Tax ID: 36-3687394 (Chicago Public Media, Inc.)
• Address: WBEZ (Attn: Development) PO Box 95090 Chicago, IL 60694-5090

Note that checks mailed to WBEZ can take up to 8 weeks to arrive and fully process. Information on issuing an electronic disbursement from an IRA may be requested by email at membership@wbez.org.
