Mayor Brandon Johnson is without a floor leader in Chicago’s City Council

Some alderpersons filed complaints with the Board of Ethics and the Inspector General to look into the behavior of Ald. Carlos Ramirez-Rosa.

On Monday, Ald. Carlos Ramirez-Rosa, 35th Ward, resigned from two key leadership positions at the urging of Mayor Brandon Johnson and the Chicago Aldermanic Black Caucus after an interaction Ramirez-Rosa had last week with Ald. Emma Mitts, 37th Ward.
