What a week here in Washington. The President delivers a bolt from the blue; his press secretary heads for the bushes; the White House gets trolled by the Kremlin; and, the only person to see the funny side of it appears to be Russia’s visiting foreign minister. Abroad, France and South Korea have new presidents; America arms those fighting back against Syria’s president; and Russia’s president seems to have plenty of time for a few jokes and some ice hockey. Joining guest host John Donvan to discuss domestic news is Susan Davis, congressional correspondent for NPR, David Leonhardt, op-ed columnist for The New York Times and Abby Phillip, national political reporter for The Washington Post. Discussing international news is Yochi Dreazen, foreign editor of Vox, Karen DeYoung, senior national security correspondent for The Washington Post, Jon Sopel, North America editor for the BBC and Ofeibea Quist-Arcton, international correspondent for NPR, based in Senegal.
