New Census data shows that Illinois was dead last in population growth from 2013 to 2014. The state lost close to 10,000 people. Meanwhile, Texas came out on top, adding more than 450,000 people. The Chicago metro area saw a slight increase of 0.1 percent in population, but it pales in comparison to other cities with warmer climates. WBEZ’s Susie An discusses the population shift.
