When the City of Chicago’s treasurer Stephanie Neely stepped down last fall, Mayor Rahm Emanuel appointed a Harvard-educated asset manager and political newcomer to the post. Kurt Summers is a born-and-bred Chicagoan with roots in Bronzeville, and he wants to bring more neighborhoods into the city’s investment strategy.
