Governor Rauner’s proposed cuts to public transit are getting a chilly reception from transportation advocates. Rauner released his budget plan yesterday, and it includes $127 million less for the Regional Transit Authority. If passed, that would mean major cuts for the CTA, Metra and Pace. The CTA alone could lose more than $100 million. CTA spokesperson Brian Steele joins us.
