When you go to the zoo, there’s one thing most people do: check the schedule for feeding time, hoping to catch the animals in action. But that may soon be a thing of the past, especially at the Brookfield Zoo. It’s part of a national trend for zoos around the country to let animals feed themselves. At the Brookfield Zoo, nearly 20 percent of the animals are now foraging for their dinners. So what does that mean for the animals? How about the spectators?
