After a tornado destroyed Fairdale last night, at least two people are dead and 17 homes were swept off their foundations in the small farming community about an hour and a half northwest of Chicago. Eleven people were taken to hospitals and some residents are still unaccounted for. The town has been evacuated as officials assess the damage and comb through the rubble. NIU meteorologist, Gilbert Sebentse, lives in Dekalb County and he actually watched last night’s tornado from his home. He joins us with details.
