This year, one Oak Park student is eagerly watching the speed skating results at the Olympics for the first time in his life. Luke Gawne is close friends with Olympic speed skater Emery Lehman. They used to have sleep overs as kids and dream about how someday Emery might be an Olympic athlete. When the dream came true, Emery asked his friend to create a theme song for him to play to get pumped up. Emery and their friend Niklas Carson’s song/rap anthem recounts Emery’s big moments in his qualifying races and encourages him to be true to himself. Carson and Gawne join us.
