A new study says the University of Chicago Medical Center is the best facility on the South Side to handle adult trauma cases. Jackson Park Hospital on 75th and Stony Island ranked second in the survey of nine city hospitals. And Roseland Community Hospital on West 111th Street rounded out the top three. While nine city hospitals were invited to complete the survey, only five responded, including Advocate Trinity and South Shore Hospital. Joining us to discuss the study’s findings is Veronica Morris-Moore of the Trauma Center Coalition, a group that supports building a trauma center on the South Side.
