Chicago’s oldest steel mill recently closed down and is slated for demolition. “A. Finkl & Sons Company” is not in a distant corner of the city. It’s at Cortland Avenue along the North Branch of the Chicago River. When it goes, what can we expect in its stead? More condos? A tech incubator? Or something else entirely?
