Curious City is a news-gathering experiment designed to satisfy the public’s curiosity. People submit questions, vote for their favorites, and WBEZ reports out the winning questions in real time, on Facebook, Twitter and the timeline above.  

This round’s winner is Ian Larkin from north suburban Winnetka. His question is: “What happened to the sites in and around Chicago that housed Nike missiles during the Cold War?” We’ve got gumshoe Michael De Bonis on the case and will be updating the investigation as we find answers here.
