2nd Story Series: Black Friday
Last month, we began what we hope will be a new tradition on this radio program, our 2nd Story series. We've partnered up with the 2nd Story festival that brings together people to tell stories in an effort to create a storytelling circle of sorts. We broadcast a story that's been recorded at one of the events held by 2nd Story, in this case a 2008 performance at Webster Wine Bar. You listen and hopefully are inspired to tell your own story. This month's is very timely. It's called Black Friday, and it's performed by Julie Ganey.
Now, your assignment is to tell us another story about navigating family relations. What did Julie's story remind you of in your own life? Send us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org with your story, your name and your contact information. We'll send those submissions along to the 2nd Story folks who will choose a winning story to read at an event this Wednesday night at Red Kiva. If you win, you'll get free tickets to that reading.
