Lou, an aging “Outfit”’ hitman, has watched his pals go to the can or the grave while a younger, less respectful generation took over the mob’s street crews. Detective Ralph Maloney is an old-school cop who isn’t allowed do his job because of department politics. Lou and Ralph are on a collision course, looking for one more chance to prove everyone around them wrong before they make a clean break. That’s the plot of the new film Chicago Overcoat, which debuted at the Chicago International Film Festival. The cast includes Frank Vincent and Danny Goldring who play the main characters, plus other big names like Kathrine Narducci of the Sopranos and A Bronx Tale, Mike Starr of Goodfellas, Armand Assante, and Stacy Keach. Chicago Overcoat is the brainchild of Beverly Ridge Pictures. Associate producer and casting director Chris Charles, and actor Danny Goldring talked with us about the movie.
