Last night there was debate for Illinois governor in downstate Carbondale. Now, there were three candidates on stage. But you wouldn’t know it based on some of the exchanges. 

Democrat Pat Quinn and Republican Bill Brady all-but-ignored Green Party nominee, Rich Whitney. The candidates mainly stuck to their talking points in the hour-long debate. But there were a few telling moments. Here to break it down for us is WBEZ’s political reporter, Sam Hudzik.
