On Wednesday Eight Forty-Eight presented Part 1 of WBEZ’s Richard Steele’s conversation with former Chicago State University president Dr. Dolores Cross.

Cross resigned from Morris Brown College in Atlanta after she was accused of embezzling millions of dollars in student financial aid. Recently it was reported that the U.S. Department of Education will forgive nearly $9.5 million  of the debt owed by the historically black college. Morris Brown will have to pay the remaining $500,000 owed.

In Part 2 of Steele’s conversation with Dr. Cross, he asked about the terms of Cross’ sentence.
