A Look at This Year's Judicial Races

It used to be that judicial races were some of the cheapest political campaigns to finance. Historically, contested races are rare. But this year some judicial retention elections are proving a bit more contentious, resulting in bigger campaign coffers. In Illinois, Supreme Court Justice Thomas Kilbride has been targeted by conservative activists, including the political action committee JUSTPAC. So, how are the judicial races playing out this election season? Abdon Pallasch of Chicago Sun-Times provides analysis.
