Babies are a recent topic of concern at Abbott Labs. Abbott issued a voluntary recall of some five million containers of its Similac infant formula last week. Apparently the product was contaminated by beetle and other insect matter. The Food and Drug Administration says ingesting bits of beetles won’t do much harm beyond mild indigestion. But the news is certainly causing bellyaches among Abbott employees.
