Work is harder and harder to come by these days. In March, the Illinois unemployment rate was 9.1 percent.  As part of our Hard Working project, we recently hosted an information coffeehouse about searching for work. It was held at the Jane Addams Hull House Museum on Chicago’s West Side. Some of those who attended stopped by a booth we set up, and agreed to share their stories of trying to find work, including  H. S. “Crash” Crawford.
