Writer Audrey Niffenegger rose to fame in 2003 with her first novel, The Time Traveler’s Wife. The book was a surprise hit for the Chicago author and visual artist. There’s also a Hollywood adaptation, which garnered a lot of buzz. So there was plenty of anticipation when her follow-up Her Fearful Symmetry hit the stores in 2009.

Niffenegger will speak Tuesday, Mar. 8, at the Society of Midland Authors monthly program. So to mark that occasion, Eight Forty-Eight revisited a conversation the author had with Eight Forty-Eight host Alison Cuddy about Her Fearful Symmetry. Niffenegger began by reading an excerpt from the book.
