Many Chicagoans started getting their St. Patrick’s Day celebration on last weekend. But that shouldn’t stop you from going out tonight to grab a Guiness! That’s exactly what Mike Danahey did when Alison Cuddy met up with him and Allison Hantschel at Kelly’s Pub in Lincoln Park. They’re co-authors of the new book Chicago’s Historic Irish Bars. Though the North Side might not seem like the stronghold of Chicago’s Irish, the bar has a great history – it was even briefly a University called Maguire University.

Danahey and Hantschel will be at Kitty O’Shea’s Thursday afternoon signing copies of the book Chicago’s Historic Irish Bars.
