The Cook County board will continue deliberations over their budget in their next meeting. Bridget Gainer will be joining the board as the newest commissioner. She replaces Democrat Mike Quigley who left to represent Illinois’ 5th congressional district. Bridget Gainer is a former executive at the Aon Corporation who used to work in Chicago’s budget department. She joins us to share more about her new position.
