Burris Settles in as Senator

Earlier this week, Illinois Sen. Roland Burris took to the U.S. Senate floor for the first time to address the appointment of the first black Attorney General, Eric Holder. Burris' appointment by now-former Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich has repeatedly been referred to as “tainted,” but he takes great pride in the firsts in a number of “firsts” he achieved for African-Americans in Illinois. He tells Eight Forty-Eight's Richard Steele how he's settling in.
