Recently, host Alison Cuddy attended a memorial for someone she considered a friend and mentor. The occasion was sad but as she listened to the service she was moved and intrigued by one of the voices. That voice belonged to Miriam Eskenasy.

Eskenasy is the Cantor at KAM Isaiah Israel in Hyde Park. KAM is the oldest Jewish congregation in the Midwest. She joined Eight Forty-Eight to discuss how she became a cantor and what the role involves.
