We’re still trying to get over the loss of our former colleague and friend - Carlos Hernandez Gomez. He was the fedora-wearing political reporter whose death earlier this year sent the worlds of Illinois politics and journalism into mourning. But Carlos’ reputation and influence know no bounds – in addition to being a political junkie, he was a huge fan of music. So tonight a benefit concert in Berwyn will bring together his love of the sounds of the British Invasion with his desire to serve others. Four bands will hit the stage at FitzGerald’s to remember Carlos and raise money for one of his favorite charities. Carlos’ wife Randi spoke to Richard Steele earlier this week. She talked about the event, and about the many people connected together by their love for Carlos.
