One of opera’s oldest hits is getting a very modern spin - starting this weekend in Chicago. Francesco Cavalli’s Giasone is rumored to have been the most popular opera of the 17th century. But in a new staging at Chicago Opera Theater, the production is blasting into the 21st century thanks to some trappings from a very resilient action hero. Yes, folks, that would be Bond. James Bond.
