Celebrating the Heroines of the Mexican Revolution

For the next few days, any city with citizens of Mexican or Mexican American descent will witness some major celebrations. After all, it's the bicentennial of Mexico's independence. Stories about the revolution and its heroes will be a big part of the festivities. But not everyone who played a role in Mexico's fight for freedom will be feted. Women revolutionaries have for the most part been left out of the history books. So, some local Latino playwrights and artists have decided to tell their stories. Catalina Maria Johnson has the story.
