While the snow and the cold might turn some Chicagoans’ thoughts to sandy beaches and warmer climes, it’s got others dreaming of winter gold. The 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver is less than two weeks away, and more than a dozen of the athletes competing hail from Illinois. Eight Forty-Eight’s sports contributor Cheryl Raye-Stout talks about some of the local competitors, and update us on some of our other sports heroes.
