As we approach the tenth anniversary of 9/11, we’ve been hearing Chicagoans’ stories of that day. 

On September 11th, 2001, after planes had flown into the World Trade Center in New York City and the Pentagon in metro Washington, D.C., FBI agents in Chicago were trying to figure out if terrorists might strike here. 

But agents from the Chicago office also were immediately sent to Pennsylvania to sift through the rubble of United Flight 93, searching for evidence of who carried out the attacks.
