Over the past couple of years, Oprah Winfrey’s philanthropic and political endeavors have brought much attention to her adopted hometown. So there were audible gasps when, after many rumors, the president of Harpo Productions admitted that Oprah was ending the show after she celebrates its silver anniversary next year.
