Chicago's Better Boys Foundation turns 50

Fifty years ago, an organization got to work in a boxing gym in Chicago’s North Lawndale neighborhood. The group used whatever space they could find to help kids stay out of trouble and participate in after school activities. Their mission was to provide opportunities for the increasingly blighted community. Dr. John Holton, the Executive Director of the Better Boys Foundation, joined Eight Forty-Eight to talk about the group's history.

Music Button: Common, "Geto Dreams," (instrumental) from the release Like Water for Chocolate (MCA)
