Last week, the people over at Kraft foods were feeling pretty confident that British-owned Cadbury would accept their offer of more than 19 billion. Financial oracle and Kraft shareholder Warren Buffett said he would vote against the bid if he could. Given Buffett’s reputation, many experts wondered if his opinion alone would sour the deal. It wouldn’t be the first time. Imagine having that much sway. Which got us thinking, who locally, has that kind of pull? We decided to consult our financial guru. David Greising knows all the players on the scene and he joins us to tell us more about the local folk who carry financial clout. David Greising is Eight Forty-Eight’s business contributor.
