Chickens Move Off the Farm and into the City

Alderman Lona Lane in 2007 proposed outlawing chickens in the city, claiming the birds posed a public health hazard. Urban chicken owners united and successfully contested the ban. Now, raising backyard chickens is a growing trend in Chicago and across the country. For WBEZ, Julianne Hill has the story.
