Many people stuck in this foreclosure mess signed away their finances without completely understanding or trusting the fine print. A forthcoming article in the Journal of Psychology, Public Policy, and Law has some insight on how those blind decisions could happen. The article examines the psychological analysis of disclosure laws. It’s co-authored by Debra Stark of John Marshall Law school, and Dr. Jessica Choplin, assistant professor of experimental psychology at DePaul University. Debra Starks lays out the surprising phenomenon.
