Last week Chicago aldermen agreed to issue one billion dollars in bonds to help pay for the O’Hare Airport expansion project. Already, the city is coping with mounting budgetary concerns. And now that Mayor Daley announced he won’t be running for re-election, the expansion will lose one of its most crucial advocates. Completion of the project has been slated for 2014, but in light of recent developments, could O’Hare’s expansion border on uncertainty? Business contributor David Greising gives us an update.
