Yesterday night, one woman was killed and eight others were wounded in four separate shootings on the south side. Sunday, an Evergreen Park man was shot after he aimed and fired a gun at a Chicago police officer. Last week on the Magnificent Mile, a woman was injured after she struggled with a Chicago cop and tried to grab his weapon. Events like these make the bluest blood run cold, especially coming during a month when officers are commemorating their fallen brethren in a number of memorial events. Chicago Police Superintendant Jody Weis talks about morale and what's being done to keep police and civilians safe this summer.
