The Robert Taylor homes on Chicago’s South Side were an institution. When the homes were destroyed in many cases so were the families. One typical household is portrayed in the Chicago Dramatists’ newest production, Hope VI. The story focuses on Hope and her abusive mother. Eight Forty-Eight’s dueling critics, Jonathan Abarbanel and Kelly Kleiman debate.
